Hi all,

I am translating a text regarding the inheritance of someone who died unexpectedly killed by someone else. I am struggling a bit with this sentence, the whole text is below:

XX was instructed to calculate the capital gain that Mr. XX would have made from retaining 53% of the share options he would have been granted from the LTIP, but for his death, to retirement aged 67 (the other 47% being sold to fund income tax and national insurance on the LTIP), assuming an annual increase in XX's share price of 7.5% per annum.

I am so confused by the use of that sentence within the whole text I don't know how to translate it in a non literal way so it makes sense.
