Explanation:
Yo diferenciaría las gafas 3D de las gafas de realidad virtual.
Hace unos años estuvo muy de moda eso de las gafas 3D y las regalaban en todos sitios. Servían para ver imágenes holográficas en una pantalla externa. En los ejemplos de abajo puedes ver algunas.

Lo que parece que se denomina gafas de realidad virtual son las gafas más modernas que traen una pantalla incorporada en las propias gafas y no necesitas estar delante del ordenador o de la televisión para disfrutar de la realidad virtual.

Por la imagen creo que se refiere más bien a gafas 3D que a gafas de realidad virtual propiamente dichas.

También es posible que se trate del nombre de un producto y se deba dejar en inglés. Ya que podría causar confusión "gafas 3D para realidad virtual".
