Buenas tardes a todos. Estoy traduciendo un estatuto de una empresa de la India que en el aparto referido a la reducción del capital dice así:

The capital may be paid off on the footing that it may be called up again or otherwise.

Mi intento: El capital podrá ser pagado sobre la base de que podría ser exigido nuevamente o de alguna otra manera.

capital amortizado at the end vs. desembolsado at the start.

I also agree with the asker's idea of 'la base' whilst it ought to be noted that, in legal and legislative Irish, on the footing of becomes 'on foot of'....

NB also the compulsory accent on condición though, in post-revolutionary Portugal last century, accents and the five diacritics had been abolished as being 'bourgeois'.
