| Reference: PIMBY/YIMBI Reference information: Sunt acele persoane care sunt dispuse sa-si "sacrifice" confortul propriu pentru proiecte de folos public si de interes pentru comunitatile locale, ba chiar asociatii de activisti care cauta sa atraga asemenea proiecte pentru comunitatea din care fac parte. YIMBY is an acronym for Yes In My Back Yard (or in rare occasions WHY In My Backyard), in contrast and opposition to the NIMBY phenomenon. Informal YIMBY coalitions exist in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Uppsala, Oslo, Phoenix, and elsewhere to provide community support for affordable housing or market-rate property development over the objections of NIMBY, BANANA and bureaucratic opponents. There is also a growing YIMBY movement to encourage the installation of clean energy sources, such as wind turbines, despite the opposition these generally face from NIMBY groups. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YIMBY On one side of the growth and development issue, we have CAVE people and BANANAs. On the other side, there are PIMBYs and YIMBYs, not to be confused with NIMBYs. Translation: CAVE people are Citizens Against Virtually Everything. They're often accused of teaming with BANANA types who want to Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anything. PIMBYs are people who blindly open their arms to development and shout, "Please In My Back Yard." They sometimes declare, "Yes In My Back Yard." NIMBYs, of course, have long subscribed to the notion of Not In My Back Yard. But they can be on either side of the growth issue, depending on the nature of the proposed development. |

In loc de intrebarea “De ce aici?” s-a optat pentru o abordare de tipul “De ce nu aici?”.
