Eu cred ca acesta este sensul. Este foarte posibil ca termenul de "copistics" sa fie imprumutat in limba engleza, dupa cum a sugerat si colegul Shortall, dar tind sa cred ca el provine din franceza (respectiv din latina), asa cum si "copist" din limba romana a intrat in limba pe aceeasi filiera:
