A minha dúvida é referente a sigla IST. Procurei online e há várias opiniões diferentes. Afinal, quando traduzimos o nome de uma teoria ou algo similar mantemos as siglas em inglês, como o original, ou também a traduzimos para o português?

Ex: Se a tradução da frase for 'Explicando a Teoria de Simplificação Integrada', as siglas seriam IST mesmo ou trocaria por TSI?
