Unidimensional faceting: one subchart exists for each Configuration.

The facet_grid(~Configuration) expression stipulates that ggplot2 will create a separate subordinate plot for all possible configurations (that is, A, B, and C). Each subplot shows its own subset of the overall data, but with the use of identical layers and aesthetic mappings.

Facets can be applied vertically as well as horizontally with facet_grid(~.). Take care not to forget the final period, which is necessary for technical reasons. Combining both variants in the following faceting definition

facet_grid(Algorithm~{}Configuration)

produces the results shown in Figure 5. The colour aesthetic is now superfluous, so it is omitted: in printed publications, a monochromatic visualization can be advantageous because it avoids the need for expensive color printing. Alternatively, you could plot more variables with the colors you are no longer using to add even more information to the chart.

Oczywiście to jest tylko propozycja. W SJP można znaleźć taką definicję fasetowania „szlifować drogie kamienie lub metale w taki sposób, aby utworzyły się fasety”. Myślę, że można to przenieść na zasadzie analogii do tego kontekstu.
