Rework/reworking może oznaczać usunięcie drobnych wad/usterek już gotowego produktu. Załóżmy, że jakaś partia towaru jest już gotowa, skończona, ale wykryto drobne "usuwalne" usterki/wady, które można naprawić właśnie poprze rework. Taki rework to dość popularna praktyka w zakładach. Przecież nie wszystko co wadliwe zaraz ląduje w scrap bins.
