Two or more lines of poetry that together form one of the divisions of a poem. The stanzas of a poem are usually of the same length and follow the same pattern of meter and rhyme.

En strofe (av gr. strefein, «vende») er i lyrikken et antall linjer eller vers (av lat. versus, «linje, vende») som er føyd sammen etter et bestemt metrisk prinsipp, f.eks. taktart eller rimstilling.
