i'm guessing as the term you inquired about may very well be automotive specific. but based on translating patents, i'd wager...

- 'mask works' alludes to the process of protecting semiconductor chips against unauthorized duplication or other purposes.
- companies come up with their own mask works and often patent their different methods.
- since integrated circuits are now incorporated in the manufacturing of all kinds of products, its use in the automotive industry i'm sure is right up there with the rest.

I don't know of any Malay translation for this and could not find any reference in Malay for this. But based on my search, a 'mask' is like a stencil with patterns, i.e. like a 'topeng'.
