agree  ievastro: Angļu valodā nav dominutīvu kā mums, piemēram, vārdam caurulīte. Hypo- vispār nozīmētu samazināts, pastiprināts, izteikts, vairāk nekā normāli. Tad latviski tā arī varētu būt vienkārši "smalka caurulīte".

neutral  Inguna Hausmane: es domaju hypo- seit ir lietots, lai uzsvertu, ka ta ir caurulīte, kas atrodas iekšā (ir mazaka) citā caurulītē (katetrā), līdz ar to vārds 'smalka' nebūs īsti precīzs, jo nepasaka, ka tā ir mazāka nekā katetrs. Katetrs pats jau ir ļoti smalka ierīce
