English term or phrase: Quia speramus inoculum
This is probably stupid but one of my neighbors has a sign that says "Quia speramus inoculum" facing a busy road, that's all nothing else. For the life of me I can't figure out what it means, I have got as far as it's Latin and in part says "because we trust" if that is correct but I can find little help in figuring out what inoculum means short of meaning a vaccine of some sort. Is this correct or is this a meaning less statement I have scoured the internet for an answer, any help is appreciated, its driving me crazy. I am in Canada if that is any help.

disagree  Asmaa Hussein: Context! Sorry, dear but I think a literal translation of the the word doesn't make sense. It's in the figurative sense. To keep from harm, or to ensure the safety of . I have found it in wiktionary and in Wordhippo. Kind regards.

-> In every vocabulary you'll find only the definition of "substance used in an inoculation", never used in figurative sense (hope, safety etc...). In this pandemic period is logical the referral to the introduction of a pathogen into a living organism.
