exert significant latitude with someone in doing something. http://www.nagano-cci.or.jp/tayori/707/ts.html lat‧i‧tude /ˈlætətjuːd, ˈlætɪtjuːd $ -tuːd/ [UK] [US] noun [uncountable] formal freedom to choose what you do or say considerable/greater latitude (=a lot of freedom to choose) Pupils enjoy considerable latitude in deciding what they want to study. latitude in/for Employees should have some latitude in organizing their work LDOCE5 |

exert significant latitude with someone in doing something. Explanation: exert~ with ~ The previous answers translated "exert" 与える but this word also has meanings of 尽力する、力を及ぼ。so "exert significant latitude with B" may be "exert significant latitude shared with B". In that case "exert" does not mean "give B the authority". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 hrs (2011-08-09 01:04:59 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- 力を及ぼ。

A exerts significant latitude with B in determining strategy. |
