名誉を守るために○○をする。
普通には「call of honor」といいます。　例えば、
He answered the call of honor and fought the invaders.　って、
「かれが名誉のために侵略者と戦った」ぐらいの意味です。「He answered honor's call and fought the invaders. 」でも言えます。

直訳すれば、名誉に呼ばれるのイメージがしますけどその「よばれる」のは、「心に呼ばれること」ですね。自分が信じてるものを守るためになにかをすることですね。

文書の中で、「to answer honor's call/the call of honor」でよく使います。

後は今大人気のネットゲームの「World of Warcraft」で、「Honor's call」はそのゲームにあるアイテムです。（http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29156）

名誉にかけて、面目・メンツにかけて


Explanation:
ニコラスさんの答えと似ていますが、「かける」と表現することで若干意味合いが違ってきます。　「義務感・義務心に駆り立てられて」と言う表現も、場合によっては使えると思います。
辞書を見たら「duty call」は「義理の訪問」とありました。　これは違うと断言させて頂きます。　「answered the call of duty」は「義務・任務を遂行した」と訳します。
