English to Italian translations [PRO]
Science - Zoology
English term or phrase: char
Unusually for songbirds, male and female cactus wrens stick together throughout the year, forming little family territories that they proudly defend with a screeching ****‘CHAR!’*** call that gets increasingly louder with each second that passes.

Ho trovato solo questa possibilità: "richiamo stridente 'abbaiante' ". Altre idee su come tradurre quel char?

char

Explanation:

Example sentence(s):
  • "He's also very noisy, with a kind of char-char-char-char call rather than a sweet song."
