Silica gel is recommended for all applications with a long-exchange interval (2-year maintenance interval). It exhibits better drying performance and stability over the gel’s lifetime when in contact with oil aerosols.
• A molecular sieve is recommended for applications with lower air demand and shorter exchange intervals (a 1-year maintenance interval) if not used in split bead. The more water that is absorbed, the weaker the molecular sieve agent gets, which explains the need to replace the cartridge in time

Potrebbe essere un typo per bed. Ho visto che l'insieme delle sfere di un setaccio molecolare è chiamato anche letto. In una cartuccia possono trovarsi uno o più letti sovrapposti.
In questo caso, si raccomanda l'uso di sfere in un unico letto.

Bed potrebbe essere anche tutto contenitore in cui si trovano le "sfere", credo comunque che l'autore abbia fatto confusione tra bead e bed... Attendiamo qualcuno che se ne intenda!
