In the glossary I've found the following entries:

process load = A volume of material with a specified loading configuration and treated
as a single entity [ISPM]

dose mapping = Measurement of the absorbed dose distribution within a process load
through the use of dosimeters placed at specific locations within the
process load [ISPM]

How would you translate *process load*? carico operativo, operazione di carico? or something else??

onestamente non ho trovato riferimenti per l'uso di questa espressione nel tuo specifico settore, mentre in altri "carico di processo" ha un significato preciso: secondo me però è sufficientemente esplicativo e, dato che ce l'hai come voce di glossario, anche il suo uso nel resto del testo dovrebbe essere chiaro
