Explanation:
A rigging a vitorláshajó mozgatásához szükséges teljes felszerelést jelenti: az árboco(ka)t, vitorlákat, köteleket és minden egyebet, amely a hajótesthez rögzítve van, hogy a hajó haladjon.
Magyarul ez "vitorlás".

A Vasa ilyen értelemben "rigged". A Vasa valóban három árbocos sorhajó jellegű hajó volt, de a rigged nem erre utal, hanem arra, hogy vitorlás, vitorlával haladó (volt). Az egy vagy kétárbocos hajó is "rigged".

Viszont odaírja, hogy "warship", ami utal arra is, hogy sorhajó, mert a sorhajó felállítást a csatákban alkalmazták. Az eredeti célja nem feltétlenül "sorhajó" volt, mert amikor építették, az ú.n. "sorhajó" típus még csak kialakulóban volt. ha szükség volt rá, sorba állítottak minden hajót, ami a rendelkezésükre állt. Ekkoriban kezdtek rájönni, hogy az ilyen nagytestű hajók felelnek meg legjobban erre a célra, de még kb száz év telt el, amikor kifejezetten abból a célból építették a három árbocos nagytestű vitorlás csatahajókat, hogy legyen elég ilyen sorba állítani.

A valóságban a Vasa riggingjének csak a töredéke maradt fenn, és a "rigged" Vasának a modelje látható csak a teljes rigging felszereléssel.
