Begam Akhtar ghazal gAykii kay kshetra mein apna sAnii nahee(n) rakhtee(n) (बेगम अख्तर गज़ल गायकी के क्षेत्र में अपना कोई सानी नहीं रखतीं) 2. Begam Akhtar ghazalo(n) kii betAj malikA hai(n). (बेगम अख्तर गज़लों की बेताज मलिका हैं) As you may see this is not the literal translation. Instead, I have tried to adapt this sentence as per nature of Hindi. While the first sentence suggests that Begam Akhtar is unparallaled in the field of ghazals and does not have any alternative, the other one says that she is the uncrowned queen of ghazals. |
