korma क़ोरमा, ﻗﻮﺮﻣﺎ Explanation: It's practically impossible to get the right k/q sound of korma unless you use urdu script, but modern hindi uses the क with a dot under it to make the right sound. Here is an explanation about the etymiology: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korma It also explains here that it is written many ways in english - sometimes spelt kormaa, qorma, khorma, or kurma. I never cook it in cream but use (full cream) yoghurt. |
