As seen in online use above - Many/most sources use ניצולת with a "yod", mistakenly using the word נִצֹּלֶת [nitzolet] which, though very close, is the Hebrew translation of "utilization".
"Salvage" is נְצֹלֶת [netzolet]
The two words are based on different verbs:
נְצֹלֶת comes from להינצל - be salvaged
נִצֹּלֶת comes from לנצל - utilize

Originally a maritime term, the Hebrew word for "salvage" is הנצלה .
In insurance issues, the term used is נצולת as quoted by Mr. Armon.
"salvage charges, salvage expenses" are דמי הצלה

No  Lingopro: Perhaps your comment (quoted from the אקדמיה ללשון) can be added to explain the origin of the word, but the term is taken specifically from the world of insurance.

No  Ron Armon: A) You refer to the activity, not the object! BTW: note that originally NO Academy Glossary [Insurance,maritime,accounting] mentions הַנְצָלָה, only נְצֹלֶת (object-noun) & הַצָּלָה (gerund). Later it WAS accepted (2008), but is a verb-gerund.
