This term is in a line in a cash-flow statement table - the full item is "Accretion expense related to preferred stock."
I found these definitions -

Asker: Thanks, I meant to write a note but it ended up in the field above by mistake - pasting it here as well: Thanks! I would feel happier about it if I could find הוצאות גדילה in a similar/relevant context in Hebrew, but I haven't been able to so far and I've never come across it in financial statements in Hebrew.

Asker: The Hebrew is a bit garbled in the comment - I meant to say that I agree with your terminology in the context of economic growth in general, but I don't think that "accretion" in this case refers to economic growth. It is an increase in a specific financial item.
