the unexamined life is not worth living חיים ללא נסיונות אינם חיים Explanation: unexamined = without examination, which in the context of life means experiments-experiences. so life without experience is not really living life - the life that is worth while living. |

the unexamined life is not worth living חיים ללא בחינה עצמית לא ראוי לחיותם Explanation: I understand 'examined' as self-examined. So my translation, which goes up a notch in register above the other answers, as befits Socrates, is this: A life lacking self-examination is not worth living |
