Οι λοιμωξεις του ανώτερου αναπνευστικου σαν πρώτο σύμπτωμα εμφανίζουν το βήχα. Από εκεί και πέρα ο ασθενής μπορεί να αισθανθεί ρινική συμφόρηση και καταρροή, πυρετό, πονοκέφαλο, πόνους στους μύες και στα κόκκαλα (αρθραλγίες).
