Hollow shells made of puff pastry that can be filled with various foodstuffs, either for a main dish or for dessert.
Puff pastry is a bread product made from what is sometimes called phyllo or filo dough, having many thin layers - similar to the croissant but not having their crescent shape. "Puff pastry" is also used as the base for the "millefeuille" (a.k.a. Napoleon) pastry.

Of course the English words "phyllo" or "filo" come from Greek, but I am unclear on whether they would refer in Greek to the dough or the baked product. Also, I am unclear on how to indicate the "shell" (or bucket) shape of this particular form of the pastry, which is hollow inside and comes with a sort of lid.

In the United States, a popular brand is Pepperidge Farm, which sells "frozen puff pastry shells":
