Explanation:
Der Begriff kommt aus dem Lied „Stan" von dem US-Rapper Eminem. Der Hauptcharakter des Liedes, Stan, ist ein von Eminem besessener Fan. „Stan“ wurde im englischsprachigen Raum zunächst als Substantiv, später auch als Verb benutzt und hat inzwischen in eingedeutschter Form (stannen - ich stanne - ich stannte - ich habe gestannt) Eingang in die deutsche Jugendsprache gefunden.
