This patent was translated from Korean in to English and features numerous wordings that are not idiomatic.

Has someone seen this worded like this before? To me there is nothing "comparative" in saying left, right etc.

I am tempted to reword this to the more common

"The [directional] terms left, right, top and bottom, as used herein, are made with reference to the accompanying drawings, but are not intended to imply restrictive concepts.

Die hier verwendeten Richtungsbegriffe links, rechts, oben und unten beziehen sich auf die beigefügten Zeichnungen, sollen aber nicht als einschränkende Konzepte verstanden werden.
