Explanation:
Ich würde den s/t in Klammern hinzufügen (falls erlaubt/gewünscht). Tatsächlich ist dies im Detail sehr komplizierte U.S. Rechtsprechung und hat mit Verjährung zu tun und ist nicht in eine Rechtsfigur des Deutschen Rechts übertragbar. Vor allem betrifft dies nicht in erster Linie Strafrecht. Eine Rechtsfigur strafrechtlicher Handlungslehre ist sicher unzutreffend. Daher trifft die (fast) wörtliche Übersetzung am besten.
