Hallo,
kann mir bitte jemand bei der Übersetzung des Wortes "subdivison" im Kontext von Gesetzestexten helfen?
Später im Text heißt es noch "provided by this article", weshalb ich "Artikel" als Übersetzung für "Subdivision" ausschließen würde. "Section" hätte ich mit "Abschnitt" übersetzt.
Die Übersetzungen, die ich sonst für "subdivison" finde, passen meiner Meinung nach nicht in diesem Kontext, aber ich kenne mich auch nicht gut genug mit Rechtstexten aus, um so eine passende Entsprechung zu finden.

"Subdiv. 4, Section 14-a, Domestic Relations Law of the State of New York:
A copy of the record of the marriage registration when properly certified by the city and town clerks or their duly authorized deputies, as herein provided, shall be prima facie evidence of the facts therein stated and in all actions, proceedings or applications, judicial, administrative or otherwise and any such certificate of registration of marriage shall be accepted with the same force and effect with respect to the facts therein stated as the original certificate of marriage or certified copy thereof.

Eigentlich hätte ich Unterabschnitt vorgeschlagen, aber da "Section/Abschnitt 14-a" folgt, passt das natürlich nicht.

Asker: Danke! Allerdings folgt hier ja kein Buchstabe und es ist auch nicht der letzte Unterpunkt, so wie in dem Wikipedia-Artikel, daher glaube ich, dass doch etwas anderes gemeint ist.
