Hi guys!

I'm just going through my translated text again, but I just couldn't find out what TIE RACKS are. Does anyone know the German meaning of this??
I try further on to find it out, but anyway: some help would be nice!

THANKS a lot!

Tie Rack Shops/Läden

Explanation:
I thought he meant the Shop "Tie Rack".
If he is describing an airport, I am sure he means the shops with that name which are omnipresent at every British airport (and Highstreet!)

-> Thanks, that's the only thing that makes sense in this Douglas Adams context. I think I have read that passage in one of the "Dirk Gently" books.

Gepäckträger

Explanation:
also mit Krawatten finde ich, hat das hier gar nichts zu tun - tie racks sind zwei Dachträger fürs Auto zum Festbinden von deinem surfboard oder Drachenflieger ... macht doch mehr Sinn - oder?
