Dieser Satz/Begriff gehört zu einer Spezifikation über Holzprodukte und deren Beschichtung. Im Grunde bereitet mir der komplette Satz Schwierigkeiten, aber es wäre mir schon damit geholfen, zu wissen, was in diesem Zusammenhang mit "thumb" gemeint ist.
