Schälfurnier Explanation: I think "shorn wood" is veneer that has been sheared or sliced from a log. Das Furnierband wird dann in schmale, einzelne Furnierblätter durch senkrecht schlagende oder rotierende Messer (so genannte Clipper) aufgeteilt. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furnier Veneer is obtained by 'peeling' the trunk of a tree, which is the predominant area used for architectural veneers (see also inlay). The appearance of the grain, or "figure", in wood comes from slicing through the growth rings of a tree and depends upon the angle at which the wood is sliced. There are three main types of veneer slicing equipment used commercially: • A slicing machine in which the flitch or piece of log is raised and lowered against the blade and slices of the log are made. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wood_veneer -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2007-08-19 16:51:55 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Oder einfach Schälholz http://www.gelbex.de/search/schlholz/1.htm |
