Please take notice of the hints, given for some special printers in the apendix!Adjust the sensor to a distance of about 5 mm to the paper and turn it, that the trimmer, accessible by the hole in the sensor body, is on the upper side. Move the printer head’s sledge at the left end. Place the sensor cable carefully within the printer and control by moving the sledge, that the cable doesn’t trouble or resist the sledge’s movement."

agree  Tony M: From your first ref. above, it looks like this may just be a poor translation from some other language, and hence that the term may be being used incorrectly here.

  -> thanks Tony. Couldn't agree more, "sledge" is definitely not the standard term. But it encapsulates the idea of the printhead "sliding" along the rails.
