Je vous suggère "détecteur de signal" ou 'capteur de signal". Je remarque que dans certains contextes, "spot finder" pourrait simplement se traduire par "capteur" ou "détecteur" ; "to spot" dans beaucoup de cas signifie déjà découvrir, détecter.
