English term or phrase: Flat Slab Panel
Bonjour,

Also, ribbed slabs are sometimes called trough slabs, see

As B.D Finch pointed out, the second reference regarding trough and ribbed slabs needed more information. So, the following reference (pages 1 and 3 of slides) explains it a bit better. It talks of floor slabs cast in situ using preformed moulds

https://www.slideshare.net/dants575/construction-insitu-rc-s...

It states that "One way spanning ribbed floors are sometimes called trough floors, the two way spanning ribbed floors are called coffered or waffle floors."

neutral  B D Finch: Your second reference doesn't support "trough slabs" as being an alternative term. It mentions "the choice of trough profile", i.e. the trough in a ribbed slab.

-> Thanks B.D. Finch. Yes, you're right. It needs more explaining so I've added a further reference that spells it out better.
