Explanation:
Eal and ill, that is a big difference, even if somebody does not know how to spell. Perhaps.
But I found something interesting in Webster's dictionary.
eal-dor-man ( more like alderman ), which by definition does not mean to be (ill), or old physically, but by position , as a chief officer in a district in Anglo-Saxon England.
So maybe a slang " I feel as old man ". Anu other suggestions are fine with me.
