English term or phrase: ragged dress
I pretended I hadn't seen Steve, did a special saunter and smiled knowingly to myself. He would be watching me and thinking "Jesus, I'd forgotten how beautiful she is" and humming "Try a little tenderness" to himself - the "ragged dress" bit. Then he would run towards me, grab me and beg me to forgive him.

Explanation:

Explanation:

oh she may be weary
them young girls they do get wearied
wearing that same old miniskirt dress
but when she gets weary
you try a little tenderness
