Certification of Authority For a Notarial Act

Just reposting because I had the reference entry hidden by one of our kind moderators.
I think the notary public is the certifying authority, that's what they do.
So, of they have the valid permit, no further certification is necessary.
"This official document authenticates the notary's authority, stating that the notary was duly commissioned on the date of the notarial act. When the document in question is headed to certain foreign countries, the certificate of authority takes a different form called an "apostille." - you probably saw this.

Authority here should mean صلاحية I think, shouldn't it?

Thanks for your comment. I think the procedure in this particular instance has to do with something outside the country in question, and it involves something like the Foreign Ministry, an embassy in a foreign country, an attaché, a counselor mission..etc.
Yes, true to fact; if it were something that needs "authentication" internally, i.e. inside the country itself, the notary public will be the highest "authenticating" authority/ certifying authority and no further attestation will invariably be required. Accordingly, in this particular context, your suggestion hits the mark.
