ويتبين من المادتين (41 و 42) من قانون التحكيم، بأن الحكم يجب أن يكون مكتوباً، وأن يصدر بالإجماع أو بأكثرية الآراء. وفي حال عدم توفر الأكثرية، يصدر الحكم من رئيس هيئة التحكيم منفرداً. وكذلك يشترط في الحكم أن يتضمن أسماء أعضاء هيئة التحكيم، وأسماء الخصوم وعناوينهم وصفاتهم وجنسياتهم، وتسبيب الحكم، وصورة من اتفاق التحكيم، وملخص لطلبات الخصوم وأقوالهم ومستنداتهم، ومنطوق الحكم، وتاريخ ومكان إصداره، وتوقيع المحكمين عليه.
