شروش، قضبان ربط، قضبان رابطة Explanation: I am going to assume that you have already researched the phrase "starter bars," so you know what they are, what they look like, how they function, and why they are called "starter bars." You probably have already seen pictures or diagrams showing what they look like. If all my assumptions are correct, then you know that these are reinforcement bars (rebars) that bind one concrete element to another. The most obvious example is the starter bars that project vertically from a slab precisely where the posts will be erected. The starter bars will bind the posts to the slab so that the posts and the slab become structurally fused together as if they were built simultaneously. The starter bars become literally the starting points of the posts. The rebar cages of the posts are fitted upon the starter bars and tied to them with wire. When the concrete posts dry and the wooden forms are removed, the posts look totally integrated to the slab. There are many pictures on the internet showing this process. You probably have also figured out that starter bars have different Arabic names in different regions. Some are trade terms (mainly understood by workers in the field), while others are plain enough to be understood by the average person. The first one I am suggesting is شروش.
