Naim lives high up in the northern Albanian mountains. 10:00 Nov 29, 2007
Special thanks to Jonia Tamburi for her answer. My thanks also to the three other people who answered (Gentiana, Silke, Nick). This was not an easy question to vote on. At least, not for me. I admit that my question was a little ambiguous but unintentionally so. Gentiana gave a good literal translation of my sentence. However, Jonia's answer seems to express the thought I was trying to convey best - that Naim lives in what Albanians call "the Bjeshk'. However there is no word for bjeshk' in the English language. Males' just seems to mean "mountain region." Bjeshk' is more nuanced meaning "highlands, alpine land, highland pasture, high mountain land with summer pasture." That's the kind of place I was envioning Naim as living in. Nevertheless, I think that all of you are great and seem to know the Albanian language well. Thanks again!
