personal environmental permits Explanation: I don't think we'd say "person-related", and I feel that "integrated physical environment" is overtranslation - it's not what the Dutch says. |

person-related integrated physical environment permits Explanation: Reduction of regulatory burdens was one of the priorities of the Balkenende IV-government. Its aim was to reduce these burdens by 25% during 2007-2011. In order to achieve this goal, it came up with a Smarter Regulation programme (Slimmere regels, betere uitvoering en minder lasten). A main element of this programme is the integrated physical environment permit (omgevingsvergunning) that will integrate different permits within the field of housing, environment and physical domain (26 in total) into one integrated permit. http://www.rijkswaterstaat.nl/images/Quick Scan OESO_tcm174-... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 43 min (2012-11-29 14:57:29 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- As Michael has pointed out, there was quite a bit of disagreement among KudoZ participants as to the most appropriate translation of this term. I would therefore suggest adding the original term between brackets, which is always the safest choice in this type of situation. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 45 min (2012-11-29 14:58:57 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Thus the translation would be something like: (...) of person-related integrated physical environment permits (so-called 'omgevingsvergunningen') (...) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 uren (2012-11-29 22:42:15 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The party applying for the 'omgevingsvergunning must be the owner of the relevant property and can be either a private individual or a business/organisation. If 'persoonlijke' has been added to indicate that the applicant is a private person, you might consider a translation like "(...) the conditions for granting integrated physical environment to private individuals (...)". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 uren (2012-11-29 22:43:12 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- This should of course have been: (...) the conditions for granting integrated physical environment permits to private individuals (...)". |
