neutral  Chris Hopley: I don't think it's common in English to refer to a brand as a "she"; this is a peculiarity of Dutch which shouldn't be translated directly. In fact, even in Dutch, it's grammatically incorrect (it should be 'het merk en *zijn* innovaties').
