business concept Explanation: A "business concept" can be anything from the vague blabla of a mission statement (e.g. "We aim to redefine the boundaries of our industry") to the firmly formulated designs of a retail concept ("We will sell cheese sandwiches in yellow boxes"). Obviously, the invented examples given are extremes, but they have a certain demonstrative value. More often, a "business concept" will be somewhere between these two poles. IMO a "business formula" is something distinct from a "business concept" and is not the same as the Dutch "bedrijfsformule". In English, "formula" (in this context) has a non-definable, magical quality and would more likely be found in the title of books by "leading" business gurus (ahem) that tell you how to make a success (add salt to taste) of your business ideas.
