wordt de opgebouwde waarde afgetrokken van de lening the accumulated value is subtracted from the loan amount. Explanation: The "accumulated value" of the linked savings account is subtracted from the loan amount. I think this means that the official amount of the loan is reduced by the amount of principal and interest accrued in the savings account. The reason why this is being done is that the savings account may contain items such as Certificates of Deposit or other time deposits where if the client wants to apply the amount to the purchase price of the real estate he/she will lose a penalty for cashing in the deposit. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 hrs (2015-08-29 18:19:33 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- From Ms. Rault's comments, it seems I misread "opgebouwde waarde" as meaning the accumulated amount of the savings account. Instead, I now think "opgebouwde waarde" means "the net of the balance still owing on the old loan less any balance in the savings account". Thus: Revised answer: wordt de opgebouwde waarde afgetrokken van de lening = the net amount is subtracted from the [new] loan amount. (Where "the net amount" is the author's concept of a net amount on the old loan.) |
