I can't quote my client's text in this case, but here is a photo from elsewhere:
https://ocuengineering.nl/product/gegalvaniseerde-instortpot...

And here is a description from another website:
"Tevens worden er bij instortkanalen gebruik gemaakt van zogenaamde instortpotten. Deze worden hoofdzakelijk gebruikt om een overgang te maken van een horizontaal kanaal (Ø 80 mm) in de vloer naar een verticale aftakking in de ruimte, ten behoeve van, bijvoorbeeld, het aansluiten van een afzuig- en/of toevoerventiel in de desbetreffende ruimte."

embedded or in-slab duct(work) fitting/connector/pot
Explanation:
Think I got it wrong with my first answer (collection or collector pipe/duct/pot/piece). Checking your references and other information, the term 'instort' does not seem to refer to air flow processes but to the suitability of the part concerned for embedding in concrete floors and other structures.

A variation on this terminology is 'imbedment'. See https://theconstructor.org/concrete/embedments-reinforced-co... .

Oops: embedment!

By the way, if the notion of embedding the part in concrete or whatever is correct, I guess my suggestion of an embedded part should have read 'embeddable'.

You're welcome, Ruth. Not a bad idea in this case, I think, to translate the term in a completely different way.

Amazon has it, unfortunately I can only find it on the German site:

This would argue for 'diverter duct':

Explanation:
The English version of the first site you mention (ocuenginerring.nl) translates 'instortpot' as both 'collapsing pot' and 'pouring pot' I doubt whether these translations are correct.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks for your answer, Jack. I think it’s called an "instortpot" because it is used with "instortkanalen". "Instortkanaal" likewise tends to be automatically translated as "collapse channel", but it is actually a "galvanised flat duct". (Unfortunately your first link is coming up as an error for me; I'm not sure why!)

Asker: Thanks, Jack; it's working now!

Notes to answerer
Asker: Yes, I now have enough information to confirm definitely that "instort" refers to the possibility of embedding the ductwork in concrete — or in other words, concrete can be "poured" around it.
