Afdeling 2. - Evaluatie en erkenning

Art. 19. Bij het einde van de opleiding dient de kandidaat-specialist met het oog op zijn erkenning te bewijzen dat hij voldoet aan de vastgestelde eindtermen en bekwaam is om het betrokken specialisme zelfstandig en op eigen verantwoordelijkheid uit te oefenen.
De kandidaat-specialist moet tevens kunnen bewijzen dat hij een opleiding heeft gevolgd inzake :
1° communicatie met patiënten ondermeer met het oog op het bekomen van een geïnformeerde toestemming;
2° kwaliteitszorg;
3° evidence-based medicine;
4° elektronisch beheren van gegevens;
5° klinisch leiderschap.

Art. 20. Met het oog op zijn erkenning dient de kandidaat bij het einde van zijn opleiding te slagen in een eindevaluatie die paritair wordt georganiseerd door de beroepsverenigingen van het betreffende specialisme en de universitaire instellingen onder toezicht van de Minister tot wiens bevoegdheid de Volksgezondheid behoort.
Met het oog op zijn erkenning moet de kandidaat bij het einde van zijn opleiding zijn competentie om een wetenschappelijke analyse uit te voeren aantonen door een door peers gevalideerde wetenschappelijke publicatie.

Art. 21. De kandidaat-specialist stelt met het oog op de evaluatie van de stagemeesters en stagediensten jaarlijks een vertrouwelijk verslag op met betrekking tot de kwalitatieve en kwantitatieve aspecten van zijn stage. Hij houdt bedoelde rapporten tijdens de opleiding en tot 2 jaar na het beëindigen van de opleiding ter beschikking van de Minister tot wiens bevoegdheid de Volksgezondheid behoort.

Art. 45. Het ministerieel besluit van 30 april 1999 tot vaststelling van de algemene criteria voor de erkenning van geneesheren-specialisten, stagemeesters en stagediensten, gewijzigd bij de ministeriële besluiten van 12 maart 2003 en 19 augustus 2008, wordt opgeheven.

Erkenning arts-specialist

1. Hoe moet ik mijn erkenning aanvragen?

De erkenning van geneesheer-specialisten (zoals de wettelijke titel nog steeds is) is tot op heden een federale bevoegdheid die toekomt aan de minister van Volksgezondheid.

Na het beëindigen van de opleiding (en ten vroegste 2 maanden vóór het einde van de opleiding) moet je je aanvraag om erkenning als arts-specialist aangetekend bij de minister indienen. Dit gebeurt via een standaardformulier dat verkregen kan worden bij de FOD Volksgezondheid dienst Erkenning Gezondheidsberoepen.

Je aanvraag wordt voorgelegd aan de bevoegde kamer van de erkenningscommissie. Deze kan de minister 3 adviezen voorleggen: erkenning, verplichting om de opleiding gedurende een bepaalde tijd voort te zetten of niet-erkenning.
