Goedemorgen allemaal!

Alvast bedankt!
Neil

I appreciate that since Asker's text is a B&B brochure, my answer might not be entirely ready to use, but this seems to be what it is, technically speaking.

Breedhuis

"Although bungalows in India generally had hipped (pyramidal) roofs, many different rooflines are found on bungalows in America. The gable, or triangular, roof is probably the most common, consisting of two sloping sides that meet at a ridge. Bungalows may feature one, two, or more gables. A single gable might have its ridgeline parallel to the street (known as side-gabled) or perpendicular to the street (front-gabled). Multiple gables facing different directions (cross-gabled) are also common. Often the front porch may have a separate gabled roof of its own. A gabled roof may have its point clipped, known as a clipped gable, or jerkinhead, roof. Another type of gable roof is the gambrel (often found on barns), which has a lower slope that is steeply pitched and an upper slope that is less steep, allowing for more head-room on the upper story. The opposite of the gambrel, in which the top slope is steeper and the bottom slope less so, is commonly known as a saltbox, or ucatslide,” roof. Less common are various kinds of shaped gables, such as the Dutch gable, which was more often featured as a decorative" (https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=JNEeKsVkXg0C&pg=PA33&lpg... )

having its ridgeline parallel to the street (= side-gabled) => breedhuis?
having its ridgeline perpendicular to the street (= front-gabled) => diephuis?
