Danish term or phrase: et materieltog
At Hvidovre station, according to a document I'm translating, a "materieltog" collided with a passenger train.

This looks as if it should be simple enough, but no English term seems to fit. And in Danish, come to that, what's the difference between a "materieltog" and a "godstog"? (Perhaps the latter has a more general meaning?)

materieltog
rolling stock

Explanation:
Rolling stock is a category of rail transport vehicles, both powered and unpowered. It is unspecific to any one type, passenger or freight.
In Swedish, it is called Rullande Material. In Danish, a materialtog is a collection of rolling stock with at least one car.
There is a difference in usage between Danish and English and Swedish. In Danish, it can be used in singular form and you can speak of trains of rolling stock, in English and Swedish, you can talk about Rolling Stock as a irregular plural, and a 'stock train' or 'rolling stock train' is not used. You can speak of, as mentioned above, trains of rolling stock.
