I absolutely agree with you. The most common translation of \"nyistandsat\" is \"redecorated/refurbished\" and I did put this in my explanation as an option depending on the context of the text. I just wanted to highlight the possibility, due to personal experience, that it could also mean a renewal or reinstatement of the lease itself.
